Alan Moore &
Mitch Jenkins

Alan Moore is best known for writing comic books including V For Vendetta, From Hell and Watchmen. Mitch Jenkins is an award winning photographer and filmmaker.

Their first project on Lex was a two hour audiobook written and narrated by Alan Moore and scored by Doseone & Andrew Broder, featuring Mike Patton, Stuart Braithwaite, Zach Hill, Justin Broadrick and George Cartwright.

Between 2011 and 2014 Lex made five short films with Alan Moore & Mitch Jenkins, set in ‘Nighthampton’, a purgatory-like dimension in Alan and Mitch’s native Northampton.

Doseone & Andrew Broder scored the films, with contributions from Alan Sparhawk, Nona Invie and Tunde Adebimpe. The films premiered at Film4 Frightfest and went on to be screened at Graphic in Sydney Opera House, Raindance, Sitges, Leeds International Film Festival and BAFICI in Buenos Aires. They are available to stream now on Shudder.

In 2018 Lex co-produced Alan Moore & Mitch Jenkins’ first feature film, THE SHOW, starring Tom Burke and Siobhan Hewlett. The film is currently in post production. Here's Alan's description of the story:

A frighteningly focussed man of many talents, passports and identities arrives at England’s broken heart, a haunted midlands town that has collapsed to a black hole of dreams, only to find that that this new territory is as at least as strange and dangerous as he is. Attempting to locate a certain person and a certain artefact for his insistent client, he finds himself sinking in a quicksand twilight world of dead Lotharios, comatose sleeping beauties, Voodoo gangsters, masked adventurers, unlikely 1930s private eyes and violent chiaroscuro women…and this is Northampton when it’s still awake. Once the town closes its eyes there is another world entirely going on beneath the twitching lids, a world of glittering and sinister delirium much worse than any social or economic devastation. Welcome to the British nightmare, with its gorgeous flesh, its tinsel and its luminous light-entertainment monsters; its hallucinatory austerity. Welcome to The Show.
